This Privacy Policy describes how FlightLog (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the FlightLog mobile application (iOS, Android, macOS) and associated services.
By using FlightLog, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account to use the cloud sync feature, we collect your email address. This is used solely for authentication and account management.
Flight Log Data
If you enable cloud sync, your flight log data (flights, airports, durations, aircraft registrations, crew positions) is stored on our servers to allow synchronization across your devices. This data is yours and is never shared with third parties.
Location Data
With your permission, we may access your device location to provide features such as celestial body rise/set time calculations. Location data is processed on-device only and is never stored or transmitted to our servers.
OPS Data (Optional)
If you enable the OPS Data option in settings, anonymized operational statistics (airport codes, approach types, taxi times) may be collected for aggregate aviation statistics. This feature is opt-in and can be disabled at any time.
Device Information
We may collect basic device information (operating system, device type) for diagnostic and compatibility purposes.
2. Subscriptions and Payments
FlightLog offers auto-renewable subscriptions. Subscription management and payment processing are handled by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) respectively. We do not collect or store any payment or billing information.
Subscription management is powered by RevenueCat. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase data to manage entitlements. For more information, see RevenueCat’s Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the FlightLog service
- To authenticate you and sync your data across devices
- To manage your subscription status
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the app based on usage patterns
We do not display advertising. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union. We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure.
If you do not use cloud sync, all your flight data remains stored locally on your device only.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access – You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction – You may request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion – You may request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability – You may request an export of your data.
- Objection – You may object to the processing of your data.

6. Data Retention
We retain your account and flight data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and synced flight log will be permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days.

FlightLog integrates with the following third-party services:

- Apple App Store / Google Play – App distribution and in-app purchases
8. Children’s Privacy
FlightLog is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
