What this app does
Athle is a mobile application that helps athletes and coaches calculate
athletics performance scores using official French Athletics Federation (FFA)
scoring tables, run a stopwatch, and view publicly available athlete profiles
Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to enter to identify yourself:
– Your FFA license number, or your name, used to look up your athlete profile.
– The athlete profile data returned by the public FFA website (name, club,
sex, performance history).
We do not collect:
– email addresses, passwords, or accounts of any kind,
– precise location, contacts, photos, or other device data,
– analytics, advertising IDs, or third-party tracking data.
Where the information is stored
Your saved profile (license, name, club, athlete ID) is stored locally on your
device using the operating system’s standard storage. It is not uploaded to
any server we control, and it never leaves your device unless you explicitly
trigger a profile lookup.
Information sent to third parties
When you search for an athlete, look up a competition, or refresh your
profile, the app sends a request to our backend API which in turn fetches public data from the FFA
website (www.athle.fr). The data returned is the same data publicly available
on athle.fr.
We do not sell, share, or use this data for advertising. Server-side, requests
may be logged for operational purposes (rate limiting, error tracking) and
are kept for a short period before deletion.
Children’s privacy
The app is intended for athletes of all ages, including minors involved in
athletics. The only data displayed about minors is information already
publicly available on the FFA website. If you are a parent or guardian and
want a specific profile entry removed from your device, simply use the “Change
profile” button in the app.
Your choices
– You can clear your saved profile at any time from the Profile page (“Change
profile”).
– You can uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.
Permissions
The app does not request any sensitive Android or iOS permissions (no
location, camera, contacts, microphone, or storage access).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the
top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after
changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
