Sync

Synchronize your data across devices using server sync or Dropbox.

Server Sync#

Server sync provides real-time cloud synchronization between multiple devices.

  1. Create an account or log in with your email and password
  2. Auto Sync – compares local and server timestamps, then uploads or downloads whichever is newer
  3. Save – force push all local data (flights, aircraft, certificates, settings) to the server
  4. Restore – force pull data from the server to this device
  5. Delete (trash icon) – permanently delete all your data from the server (local data is not affected)

The last sync timestamp is displayed so you always know when data was last synchronized.

Dropbox#

Dropbox provides file-based backup and restore.

  1. Tap Connect Dropbox to authorize FlightLog via OAuth
  2. Auto Sync – compares local and Dropbox timestamps, then uploads or downloads whichever is newer
  3. Save – upload your data to Dropbox
  4. Restore – download data from Dropbox to this device
  5. Disconnect – revoke access at any time

Dropbox uses the same file format as FlightLog v2, ensuring full compatibility between versions.

Forgot Password#

If you forgot your server sync password, tap Forgot Password on the login screen. A password reset email will be sent to your registered email address.

Legacy Database#

If you are migrating from FlightLog v2, the Sync page includes a Share Legacy Database button. This sends the legacy data files (flights, aircraft, settings, etc.) via the device share sheet – useful for troubleshooting migration issues or sharing data with support.
